"The Foolish Man Seeks Happiness In The Distance; The Wise Grows It Under His Feet.” - James Op

This isn’t to say we are all foolish, but we have all BEEN foolish when it comes to happiness in the past. I would be lying if I said I hadn’t been the fool who sought after happiness by looking to the ‘distance’. I’ve also definitely been the unhappy fool who continues to search for happiness in the ‘distance’ even though I am only finding happiness is minute moments. The ‘distance’ could be in possessions, it could be in prestige, prominence and personage, it could be in power or it could be in people. Whichever it is, happiness is short lived and becomes harder to ‘find’ when we keep seeking in the distance. Instead, we should strive to be wise and grow our happiness ‘under our feet’. Meaning we should look to ourselves as the starting place for our own happiness. It can be grown in many ways, by understanding ourselves at a deeper level than we previously have, by realising something how to help move our lives forward in ways we most desire and often by simply enjoying our own company and the person we currently are. When were you last a fool and when did you realise you were being foolish? Truth, Joy, Love TJ ✌🏻
